Chronos Paradixium is a game that will be released in chapter parts over the course of a few years. This page is a detailed summary of the project.
This game is in progress and is scheduled for release in 2026!
The game follows Aya and her adventure through time to retrieve her stolen research on time magic as well as the mysterious Chronosphere, a device capable of bending reality itself.
Chapter 1 – The Day Time Was Stolen
In Chapter 1, players step into Aya’s shoes on what begins as an ordinary research night in the city—until everything goes wrong. A shadowy thief breaks into her lab, steals her notes on experimental time magic, and escapes with the Chronosphere relic. What starts as a sudden rooftop encounter amidst the neon-lit skylines quickly spirals into disaster when the Chronosphere is activated by the thief, tearing open a rift in space-time.
Aya is hurled into a distant era she doesn’t recognize: a wild, untamed landscape of ancient ruins, overgrown forests, and unstable time fissures. Stranded far from home with only fragments of her research, she must learn to survive using elemental magic circles—intricate spell formulas she painstakingly designs herself. Players are introduced to the core gameplay loop here: exploring the environment for elemental resources, crafting magic to cast attacks, buffs, and debuffs, and experimenting with combinations to overcome threats.
As Aya delves deeper into a nearby cave system pulsing with distorted time energy, she discovers traces that the thief may also have passed through this era—and was possibly altering history to their advantage. Chapter 1 ends on a tense cliffhanger: Aya stabilizes her first Chronosphere pulse to glimpse another point in time, realizing that recovering her research isn’t just about getting her work back—it’s about preventing time itself from collapsing.
Project Summary
Chronos Paradixium is a multi-chapter narrative-driven JRPG that blends fantasy and science fiction to explore time manipulation, personal agency, and emotional connection. This project represents Chapter 1 of the larger game and is developed using RPG Maker MZ. The chapter serves as the introduction to the overarching story, providing players with the foundational mechanics, worldbuilding, and character arcs that will evolve throughout the full experience.
Chapter 1 introduces the player to the main character, Aya, a brilliant researcher from a technologically advanced future who studies magic through scientific methods. When her research on time magic and the Chronosphere is stolen, she is unexpectedly transported into an ancient past where magic is viewed as innate rather than crafted. Players guide Aya as she navigates this unfamiliar era, uncovers its hidden histories, and begins piecing together the mystery behind the fractured timeline.
The project is designed for RPG fans who appreciate exploration, strategic systems, and narrative-rich worlds. Core mechanics introduced in this chapter include turn-based combat, potion and item crafting, gathering systems, and a layered magic-circle spell creation system. NPC interactions and choice-driven dialogue emphasize emotional engagement and player connection.
As the opening entry of the Chronos Paradixium series, Chapter 1 establishes the thematic and mechanical groundwork for the chapters that follow.
